Your skin will thank you!

If you’ve never heard of or used sugar based body scrubs, you might be wondering what they are for and what benefits they provide for your skin. Well, the good news is that these natural sugar scrubs are a great way to exfoliate dry skin while also moisturizing….naturally.

The granules of sugar are perfect for sloughing away dead skin cells, and in this recipe, that benefit is increased by the addition of almonds and oats. Almonds and oats are also great for helping to soothe skin, especially when it’s dry. The honey in this recipe is anti-microbial, antiseptic and a great antioxidant. It can help reduce inflammation and is suitable for all skin types.

You will never have to worry about added preservatives, synthetic fragrances and other chemicals that can be absorbed into your body. And you don’t need to pay excessive amounts on store bought scrubs, when you can make this at home for less!

How to Use Body Scrub

While you are in the shower or tub, wash your body fully with soap and rinse off. Apply liberal amounts to your skin and rub in a circular motion to allow the granules, almonds and oats to remove dead skin cells. That’s it! You will be left with skin that is healthier and refreshed!
